Inside Module I: Root Chakra, Gaia and Black Madonna

In this 8-Session Module, learn to ground yourself, establish presence in your body and focus on form and technique – how to execute both dance and daily life movements so as to prevent injury. Learn about economy of movement. Embody the mystery of the Black Madonna.

Dance & Movement

Middle Eastern Tribal Dances, Stretching and yoga. Dedicating your dance as a prayer to Gaia, our precious Earth.

Wisdom of the Body

Anatomy and physiology of the feet and hip joint.

Physical Healing

Hips, lower back, legs, knees, ankles, feet.

Psycho-emotional Healing

Fear
Relationships: with the Earth, with your body, with the Mother, your mother, family, culture, tribes/communities, ancestors.

How to prepare for this Module

Download Zoom
Have water handy to stay hydrated and give thanks for the water
Dress comfortably in attire you can move in easily
Have socks or soft soled dance shoes available and handy
You may want a yoga mat on hand for the stretching session
Try not to eat a heavy meal within one hour of dancing
Good to move in an unobstructed space of 5×5 feet or 1.5×1.5 meters

Examples of soft-soled jazz shoes suitable for our dance: Capezio and SoDanca

How this Virtual Module Works

This Module consists of 8 hours of Live Online Sessions. 

Videos of Live Sessions will be available within 24 hours after the Session and accessed on this page once you are logged in.

You can access the referenced poetry, quotes and the music list.

There will be a Practical Wisdom Session twice per Module that includes movement as well as discourse on a related Wisdom / Lifestyle topic. 

We wil have a bonus bi-weekly Community Circle per Module after our Friday Session on March 12th and 26th. 

Our Guest Speaker in the March 26th Circle will be Anastasia White who will present on Chinese Cosmology. 

You will have the opportunity to join our private Facebook Dance of Oneness Community group with students from around the globe to exchange ideas.
